发电机定子线圈端部表面电位测量仪，是利用表面电位法（又称电位外移法）检测发电机定子线棒绝缘缺陷的绝缘测试方法。通过检测定子端部手包绝缘的密实性及相对绝缘强度。它可以弥补发电机定子绕组交、直流耐压试验所发现不了的端部绝缘缺陷的不足。可以发现引线包绝缘不良，线圈鼻端绝缘包扎缺陷，绝缘盒填充泥填充不满，绑扎涤玻绳固化不良及端部接头处定子空心铜线焊接质量不良造成的渗透等缺陷。发电机定子线圈端部表面电位测量是一项新的试验项目，线圈端部起到了监督作用，进一步提高了发电机运行的可靠性.
